Step down into the Nick Foles Basement Bar — a late-night hideaway drenched in Philly vibes, big personality, and the kind of energy that only hits when wings meet stand-up. Tucked beneath the buzz of Kensington High Street, this is where stories will be born, legends will start, and your new favourite night will begin.

This isn’t just a comedy night. It’s the launch of a new comedy scene. A space for talent to grow, for fans to laugh, and for a community to take shape — one set, one wing, one howl of laughter at a time.

Doors open at 7:30 PM. Wings hit the table. Mics go live. And the rest? That’s up to you.

🎭 Your Lineup – August 20th Launch Night

• MC – Sophie Bing: Improviser, stand-up comic, and certified village escapee, Sophie Bing brings quirky charm and razor-sharp crowd work to every gig. As a Hoopla Improv Player and host of Pigeonhole Comedy, she blends West Country people-pleasing with big-city wit to keep the night flying.
• Act 1 – Alex Prescott: Alex is a high-energy musical comic who often improvises off crowd work. His debut hour Alex Prescot: Cosy was in British Comedy Guide’s list of Best-Reviewed Edinburgh Fringe Shows 2025. He was the Clap Back To Reality Winner 2024 and was a Musical Comedy Awards Finalist 2025.
• Act 2 – Sarah Mills: 
• Act 3 – Mary O'Connell Mary O’Connell is an award-winning silly billy, comedian and writer. Her critically acclaimed debut solo hour Money Princess was named ‘Top 15 Must-See Comedy Shows 2023’ by Rolling Stone, ‘Top 12 Rising Stars’ by Evening Standard.
• Break: 10–15 minutes – grab more wings, refill drinks, swap punchlines with your table.
• Act 4 – Elliot Brown: Elliott Brown is a comedian with a refreshing presence. Elliott is a winner of the Up the Creek Blackout Competition & Big Belly Gong Show, Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Semi-Finalist, Max Turner Prize Semi-Finalist and performed on the Annual Black Comedy Showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
• Act 5 – Madeleine Munford: Madeleine Munford is an American comedian based in London, most recently hailing from Dublin, Ireland. Madeleine has produced and emceed regularly sold-out mixed-bill comedy shows, including ‘Just the Tip’ and ‘IYKYK’ in London and ‘Icarus Comedy Club’ and ‘Friday Night Live’ in Dublin, and has performed as the support act for comedy icons David McSavage and Bobcat Goldthwait.
• Headliner – Peter Jones: 

  Peter Jones is a stand-up comedian from Australia now based in London.

  In his first year of living in the UK he won the final of the 2023 Beat the Frog World Series. Taking home the trophy, the glory and a novelty cheque that for twenty-four hours he really thought he had to take to a bank.

  Peter has performed stand-up on the TV series Comedy Up Late (ABC), appeared in Why Are You Like This? (Netflix), and has written for a bunch of TV shows in Australia that won’t mean anything to you if you haven’t lived there, including: The Project (Channel 10), The Weekly (ABC) and for the one week Narrow World Of Sports (FOX Sports) existed before everything was shut down back in 2020.

Your ticket gives you access to the show, but doesn’t reserve a table — so if wings are your priority, come early and lock in a seat!

Seating starts from 7:00 PM. If you’re not here for wings, no worries — you can still grab a drink at the bar and enjoy the show from your spot.
Some light bar snacks will be available as part of the ticket.
