Step down into the Nick Foles Basement Bar — a late-night hideaway drenched in Philly vibes, big personality, and the kind of energy that only hits when wings meet stand-up. Tucked beneath the buzz of Kensington High Street, this is where stories will be born, legends will start, and your new favourite night will begin.

This isn’t just a comedy night. It’s the launch of a new comedy scene. A space for talent to grow, for fans to laugh, and for a community to take shape — one set, one wing, one howl of laughter at a time.

Doors open at 7:30 PM. Wings hit the table. Mics go live. And the rest? That’s up to you.

🎭 Your Lineup – August 20th Launch Night

• MC – Sophie Bing: Improviser, stand-up comic, and certified village escapee, Sophie Bing brings quirky charm and razor-sharp crowd work to every gig. As a Hoopla Improv Player and host of Pigeonhole Comedy, she blends West Country people-pleasing with big-city wit to keep the night flying.
• Act 1 – Paul Certi: Raised in Peckham by five sisters, with roots in Ireland and South Sudan, Paul Certi brings a bold, culturally rich perspective to the mic. His sharp tongue, quick wit, and killer crowd work have made him a hit across clubs in the UK, Europe, and Australia.
• Act 2 – Beth Chamberlain: Beth is an emerging comedian — and a self-proclaimed terrible Catholic — delivering brutally honest insights with a cheeky, self-deprecating twist. Seen at Jericho Comedy, Soho Comedy Factory, and The Bill Murray. @beffchambo
• Act 3 – To Be Announced: A surprise act is joining the line-up. Expect something fresh and unforgettable.
• Break: 10–15 minutes – grab more wings, refill drinks, swap punchlines with your table.
• Act 4 – To Be Announced: Another mystery act awaits. Could be your new favourite.
• Act 5 – Laura Walsh: Laura brings her offbeat energy and refreshingly unpretentious delivery to every stage. A Leicester Square New Comedian finalist and Funny Women Awards semi-finalist, she’s quickly earning a name on the scene for her unique voice and laid-back charm.
• Headliner – Matthew McAloone: BBC Comedy Award finalist and one of the UK’s most watchable storytellers, Matthew blends razor-sharp writing with a magnetic presence. His sitcom-style energy turns any room into a front-row seat for chaos. He’s also developing the hit family show “Who Wants to Be a Grown Up” — but tonight, it’s just you, him, and the mic.
